To Be Clear: In a
church, practising
homosexuals cannot
do what?
Given that the Bible says that practising
homosexuals will not enter the Kingdom of God,
Christians have a concern for the salvation of all
homosexuals. Out of love, they will speak out.
However, much of the debate in church has dealt
with the roles within church life that are
inappropriate for practising homosexuals. In broad
terms, the questions are whether homosexuals
can be involved in:
a.
The worship and fellowship of the
church
b.
Church membership
c.
Church leadership.
We will need to look at these further but please do
not assume that discussion about involvement in
the life of a church means that homosexuals have
no place and are unwelcome. That is simply not
the case. Please make sure you distinguish
between these different levels of involvement.
