Revelation 21:7-8

Revelation 21:7-8 7  Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.  8  But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulphur. This is the second death.” The Greek word translated “vile” in Revelation 21:8 is related to words that refer to abominations (e.g. 17:4-5, 21:27). In the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Old Testament) these words are used to describe sexual immorality that is disgusting to God, including in Leviticus 18:22-29. The link with Leviticus 18:22 seems straight- forward but even if not, this list of sins includes the sexually immoral i.e. the more general term that includes homosexuality. Related pages
